Si la situation devait se prolonger, les cons\u00e9quences sur l\u2019\u00e9conomie mondiale et le prix du p\u00e9trole pourraient \u00eatre colossales. Explications.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">L&rsquo;incident, survenu mardi et signal\u00e9 par des internautes dans la nuit de mardi \u00e0 mercredi, a entra\u00een\u00e9 des embouteillages massifs, avec des dizaines de navires bloqu\u00e9s aux deux extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s et dans la zone d&rsquo;attente situ\u00e9e au milieu du canal, et d&rsquo;importants retards dans les livraisons de p\u00e9trole et d&rsquo;autres produits.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Op\u00e9ration complexe<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Depuis mercredi, l&rsquo;Autorit\u00e9 \u00e9gyptienne du canal de Suez (SCA) tente de d\u00e9gager le navire g\u00e9ant de plus de 220.000 tonnes. \u00ab\u00a0Des remorqueurs et des dragues sont utilis\u00e9s pour briser des rochers\u00a0\u00bb et essayer de lib\u00e9rer le navire, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;AFP une responsable de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 japonaise Shoei Kisen Kaisha propri\u00e9taire du bateau. Selon la SCA, il faudrait retirer entre 15.000 et 20.000 m\u00e8tres cube de sable pour atteindre une profondeur de 12 \u00e0 16 m\u00e8tres et remettre le navire \u00e0 flot.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>\u201cDans 48 \u00e0 72h maximum\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Mohab Mamish, conseiller du pr\u00e9sident \u00e9gyptien Abdel Fattah al-Sissi en mati\u00e8re portuaire, a indiqu\u00e9 jeudi soir \u00e0 l&rsquo;AFP que la navigation reprendrait \u00ab\u00a0dans 48 \u00e0 72 heures maximum\u00a0\u00bb. \u00ab\u00a0J&rsquo;ai l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience de plusieurs op\u00e9rations de sauvetage de ce type et, en tant qu&rsquo;ancien pr\u00e9sident de l&rsquo;Autorit\u00e9 du canal de Suez, je connais chaque centim\u00e8tre du canal\u00a0\u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 M. Mamish, qui a supervis\u00e9 la r\u00e9cente expansion de cette voie maritime. Mais, quelques heures plus t\u00f4t, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9erlandaise Smit Salvage avait pr\u00e9venu que l&rsquo;op\u00e9ration pourrait prendre \u00ab\u00a0des jours, voire des semaines\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>L\u2019expertise \u201cCosta Concordia\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">L&rsquo;exploitant du navire Evergreen Marine Corp, bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Ta\u00efwan, a sollicit\u00e9 Smit Salvage et l&rsquo;entreprise japonaise Nippon Salvage pour mettre en place \u00ab\u00a0un plan plus efficace\u00a0\u00bb de sauvetage du navire. Les premiers experts sont arriv\u00e9s jeudi. Smit Salvage a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 de grandes op\u00e9rations de sauvetage ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, notamment sur le Costa Concordia, navire de croisi\u00e8re Italien qui s&rsquo;\u00e9tait \u00e9chou\u00e9 au large de la Toscane en 2012, et sur le sous-marin nucl\u00e9aire russe Koursk, qui avait sombr\u00e9 avec 118 hommes en ao\u00fbt 2000 \u00e0 cause de l&rsquo;explosion d&rsquo;une torpille.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>D\u00e9tour de plusieurs milliers de kilom\u00e8tres<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Le g\u00e9ant du transport maritime Maersk et l&rsquo;Allemand Hapag-Lloyd ont indiqu\u00e9 jeudi qu&rsquo;ils envisageaient de d\u00e9router leurs navires et de passer par le Cap de Bonne-Esp\u00e9rance, soit un d\u00e9tour de plusieurs milliers de kilom\u00e8tres autour du continent africain.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><b>Impact sur l\u2019\u00e9conomie mondiale<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Le canal de Suez est un point de passage strat\u00e9gique pour les livraisons de p\u00e9trole et de gaz. \u201cEnviron 10% du commerce mondial de p\u00e9trole par voie maritime passe par le canal\u201d, indiquent en effet les analystes de ING. Cons\u00e9quences imm\u00e9diates, le prix du baril s\u2019est envol\u00e9 d\u00e8s l\u2019annonce de l\u2019incident. L\u2019emballement est quelque peu retomb\u00e9 depuis les promesses de remise \u00e0 flot rapide. \u201cLes prix du p\u00e9trole corrigent les gains exc\u00e9dentaires accumul\u00e9s mercredi \u00e0 la suite du blocage du canal de Suez, car l\u2019effet de la perturbation ne durera probablement pas trop longtemps\u201d, estime l\u2019expert financier Bjornar Tonhaugen, de Rystad. Une chose est s\u00fbre: l\u2019impact d\u2019un blocage prolong\u00e9 de la voie ferroviaire ne se limiterait pas au cours du p\u00e9trole. Plus de 10% du commerce mondial passe en effet par le canal de Suez.
